Little Devil — State of the Game: June 2026

Welcome to the Little Devil June 2026 State of the Game update! Hello everyone, Michael here.

It’s been a system-heavy month behind the scenes, not always the flashiest to screenshot, but a genuinely important one for how the game holds up long term. Let’s dig in.

🩸 A Complete Status Effect Overhaul

Little Devil’s status effects have been rebuilt from the ground up this month. What used to be three effects with fairly rough visual feedback is now six: Poison, Burn, Bleed, Slow, Frozen and Electric.

This wasn’t just visual polish either. It meant rewiring how every bullet, explosion and weapon in the game talks to enemies, so the whole system is more flexible going forward. New status effects in future will be far easier to add on top of this.

👹 Enemy Variants Have Arrived

Most enemies in Little Devil can now roll as a variant. Same base enemy, but with a new name, new colours, and different stats, health, speed and points all shift depending on which variant you get.

The Bestiary in the Vestibule has been fully updated to reflect this too, with proper entries, colours, names and descriptions for every variant now sitting alongside the base enemies.

Never know quite what you’re going to run into anymore.

🗣️ Penny Gets a Voice (Sort of)

Penny in the Vestibule now has a proper interact prompt, telling you when you can press the interact button to talk to her. Small, but overdue, and one of those things that makes the Vestibule feel that much more finished.

🛒 Penny’s Shop Is Open

Penny’s shop is live in the dungeon too. Find her on a floor and she’ll have three random items on offer, so what she’s stocking changes floor to floor, run to run.

👑 Pride Is Coming

Pride’s full design is locked in. Opt in fight, seated first phase with a shield mechanic forcing you to think about positioning, a throne launch transition, then a teleporting, shield free second phase with Imployee summons (and yes, there’s a chance you get Dave). Implementation has started, nothing playable to show just yet, but the groundwork is underway.

📖 On the Comic Side

The Nothing for Free Arc has been moving. The Jester got an art update this month (new eye colour, if you’ve been paying attention), and the monitor headed stranger who’s been lurking in recent pages turned out to be an old face, PAL Demon, who wasted no time revealing that Penny isn’t the one really in charge around here.

The comic is also now live on Tapas alongside Webtoons and the website, with all existing pages resized and the arcs releasing on a staggered schedule as they catch up.

🌐 Website Bits

A new Press page went live on littledevilgame.co.uk this month, alongside some search visibility groundwork behind the scenes. Nothing flashy to look at, but it all adds up.

🔗Stay Connected

That’s June done, status effects fully overhauled, enemy variants prowling every corner, Penny finally telling you when to talk to her, and Pride’s design locked in with implementation underway. Hell keeps getting more complicated.

As always, you can find everything Little Devil across:

And if you haven’t wishlisted Little Devil on Steam yet, please do. It genuinely makes a difference.

Until next time, stay sinful.
